About K9 Kindergarten

My wife, Michelle, and I founded K9 Kindergarten in 2007, but my journey with dogs began long before then. I’ve worked with dogs for more than 35 years, and I’m proud to be an IACP Pro Master Trainer and behaviorist.

My love of training began when I was a teenager and my family brought home a rescue dog. I helped train her from the start, and she quickly became my best friend. I even taught her my paper route. When I was sick, she could lead my sister to every house. That bond sparked a lifelong passion for working with dogs.

Years later, when Michelle and I started our family and welcomed our first dog together, I began training dogs professionally as a guide and trainer at a hunt club. Our own pack eventually grew to four dogs. Along the way, I saw how many families needed help with obedience and behavior at home. I loved working with both dogs and their people, and K9 Kindergarten grew from that purpose.

Since 2007, I’ve had the privilege of helping families build better relationships with their dogs, including dogs whose behavior had put their place in the family at risk. Today, we specialize in basic and advanced obedience, underground dog fencing, and fence training. Just as important, we teach owners the skills to keep making progress at home.
